What comes out of Aurora properties

Kitchens, baths and roofs in 15s and 20s, cleanouts and rental turnovers in 20s and 30s, and a 10 for concrete, brick and dirt. Since January 1, 2026, Illinois bans TVs, computers, monitors and printers from landfills, so those go to the Fabyan Parkway centre, not the container. Paint and chemicals go to the Naperville HHW Facility at 156 Fort Hill Dr, open to all Illinois residents on weekends.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Aurora

Who may haul: Aurora's code was not searchable on the platforms we used, and we found no published hauler licence or franchise for roll-offs. The City has a contractor licensing page we could not read. We hold ours, and we confirm with the City before booking.

Household trash: Groot is the City's contract hauler. Whether that contract is exclusive was not found, so on a homeowner clear-out, call us first.

In the street: the City says "Any work in the Public Right of Way will always require permit and may require a licensed Public Works Contractor." A dumpster-specific permit or fee was not found. Keep it on the driveway; the permits line is (630) 256-3130.

Demolition: building codes are in Article 12-II of the City code; we found no demolition fee. Check with the City before anything comes down.

Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Aurora

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the container needs to sit, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No long forms, no guesswork.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the standard 3–7 day rental, pickup, disposal and a stated weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, brick or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site exactly where you asked, with boards under it if you want them. Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it below the top edge and keep the banned items out — tires, car batteries, oil, paint, chemicals, TVs and computers, fridges with the Freon still in them. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and dispose of it right

The load goes to a permitted facility, with metal, concrete and clean green waste recycled whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers

Dumpster rental in Aurora — common questions

Is Aurora same-day?

Usually, yes — about 18 minutes from the yard. Call (630) 864-6143 before noon.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Aurora?

Any work in the public right-of-way needs a City permit. On the driveway we found no rule — that is where it goes.

Who picks up household trash in Aurora?

Groot, under the City contract, billed quarterly. A roll-off is for the project debris and clear-outs the carts can't take.

Where do old TVs and computers go?

Not in the container — Illinois banned them from landfills on January 1, 2026. Kane County's Fabyan Parkway Recycling Center in Geneva takes electronics; fees apply to TVs and monitors.

We run roll-off containers out of the West 5th Avenue yard to every city and village below. Naperville and the closest towns are often same-day; the edges of the area are more often next-day. Several towns license the haulers that work inside their limits, and a few keep containers out of the street — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
