Junk Removal across the western suburbs
Junk removal is the other half of what we do. Instead of dropping a container and coming back in a week, a crew shows up, loads what you point at and hauls it off. It suits the jobs where the problem is labor rather than volume: a garage of heavy furniture, a rental the tenant left full, an office full of desks, an estate where the family lives out of town.
It matters here because curbside bulk pickup is limited. Naperville's Groot service takes two bulk items a week — one-driver lifts — and oversized or two-person items like pianos and hot tubs are a special pickup at extra charge. In Lisle, furniture takes five stickers and appliances ten. Batavia charges a $3.37 sticker per bulk item. The rule of thumb on the phone: if it is a couple of pickup loads and you want it gone soon, call the crew. If it is a whole house, or a job that will take you more than a day to sort, a container on the driveway is usually cheaper because you are paying for the box, not the hours. We run both.
At a glance
What you get with junk removal
- A crew that does all the loading and hauling
- Clear, upfront pricing based on volume and labor
- Furniture, mattresses, appliances (Freon removed), boxes, renovation debris and office furniture
- Same-day or next-day service in many cases
- Usable furniture donated and metal and cardboard recycled whenever possible
- A container on the driveway instead if you would rather load it yourself
Cleanouts, turnovers and the one-off pile
Estate and property cleanouts are the biggest category: the furniture nobody wants, the appliances, the garage full of boxes. Tenant move-outs are next — landlords and property managers with a unit to empty. Then the one-off pile: the sofa, the mattress, leftover renovation debris, the storm or seasonal cleanup.
For businesses it is offices, retail stores and warehouses — desks, chairs, shelving and fixtures. Anything that would otherwise sit in the garage waiting for a bulk day.
Junk removal or a dumpster — which is cheaper?
A rough rule: if the job is a couple of pickup loads and you want it gone quickly, call the crew. If it is a whole house, a renovation or anything that will take you more than a day to sort, a container on the driveway is usually cheaper because you are paying for the box, not the hours. We will say which on the phone — we do both.

Junk removal — the local specifics
Town bulk programs cap what they take and when. Naperville: two bulk items a week free and one appliance a week — call Groot first — with tires, car batteries, TVs and e-waste left out of bulk pickup. Bolingbrook: one bulk item a week free, $8 for each extra, and a special pickup for anything over 50 pounds. Woodridge: one bulk item a week, with white goods $45 each. Winfield: a spring clean-up week that asks residents to put out no more than 4 cubic yards. Romeoville: bulk items booked online with Waste Management. TVs, computers and monitors have been banned from Illinois landfills since January 1, 2026; Naperville's Environmental Collection Campus at 156 Fort Hill Dr takes electronics on weekdays, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Junk removal is for the pile that cannot wait for bulk day or will not fit it. Usable furniture goes to donation and metal and cardboard to recycling whenever possible.

Answers
Junk Removal — your questions answered
How is junk removal priced?
By volume and the labor it takes — clear and upfront, before the crew starts. Describe the pile, or email a photo, and we will give you a number.
Do I need to be there?
For the first visit, usually — someone needs to point at what goes and what stays. After that, a gate code and a phone number usually do it.
Can you take appliances?
Yes, with the Freon removed from fridges, freezers and A/C units — Illinois bans large appliances from landfills unless the Freon, mercury and PCB parts are out. We tell you any cost up front.
Do you take yard waste?
Branches and yard debris, yes. A whole yard of brush or soil is usually a container job — and green waste has to be kept separate, because Illinois bans it from landfills.
How fast can a crew come?
Same-day or next-day in many cases. Call early for the best chance.
Service area
Junk Removal across the western suburbs
We run roll-off containers out of the West 5th Avenue yard to every city and village below. Naperville and the closest towns are often same-day; the edges of the area are more often next-day. Several towns license the haulers that work inside their limits, and a few keep containers out of the street — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
