What comes out of Woodridge properties

Kitchens, baths and flooring in 15s and 20s, cleanouts in 20s and 30s, and a 10 for concrete, brick and dirt. Groot takes one bulk item a week and remodel debris in 50-lb bundles. With the brush drop-off gone, yard clean-ups need somewhere to go — but landscape waste has been banned from Illinois landfills since 1990, so tell us before brush or yard waste goes in.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Woodridge

Who may haul — the rule that matters: Woodridge issues one residential scavenger licence at a time, to the lowest responsible bidder (Groot), covering homes and buildings of up to 4 units. Commercial scavenger licences are unlimited but need a $1,000,000 performance bond and insurance, and commercial collection is banned 9 pm to 7 am. Whether a roll-off company renting to homeowners needs the commercial licence is not stated. We hold ours, and call us first on a homeowner job.

Contractors: the code says a contractor, developer, builder, craftsman or installer "need not be licensed or have a permit" to privately remove the debris caused by their normal operations. A contractor's own job debris is the clearest case.

In the street: Code 4-1-1(J)(1) makes it a nuisance to deposit trash or waste on any public right-of-way, street or parkway, and we found no dumpster permit. Keep it on the driveway.

Demolition: no Woodridge demolition rule or fee was found. Check with the Village before anything comes down.

Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Woodridge

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the container needs to sit, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No long forms, no guesswork.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the standard 3–7 day rental, pickup, disposal and a stated weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, brick or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site exactly where you asked, with boards under it if you want them. Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it below the top edge and keep the banned items out — tires, car batteries, oil, paint, chemicals, TVs and computers, fridges with the Freon still in them. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and dispose of it right

The load goes to a permitted facility, with metal, concrete and clean green waste recycled whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers

Dumpster rental in Woodridge — common questions

Is Woodridge same-day?

Usually, yes — about 19 minutes from the yard. Call (630) 864-6143 before noon.

I'm a contractor — do I need a licence to haul my own debris?

Not under the Woodridge code, which lets contractors, builders and installers privately remove debris from their own normal operations without a licence.

Can the dumpster go on the parkway?

No. The code treats waste on a street, parkway or right-of-way as a nuisance, and we found no permit for it. Driveway only.

Where do I take brush now?

The Village brush drop-off closed in May 2025. Groot takes bundled brush (4 ft long, 50 lb) April 1 to December 15. Landscape waste can't go to an Illinois landfill, so tell us before brush goes in a container.
